What makes me want to know more about a possible job is this:
- subject
- word price
- number of words
- deadline
(and of course my language combination(s))

A site like translatorpub may well have thousands of jobs, but if these jobs are about moon science, the taste of beer or mushrooms, etc., and/or are paying peanuts or similar, and/or are 20 word translations, I'm not very interested.

In 2012, no-one needs to know country, state or city, this is useless info.

So I'd say, have this
- subject
- word price
- number of words
- deadline
as main info about a job, take care not to reveal the job posters address, and you'll do a better job, attracting more translators interest to become a member.

As it is, with the lack of general important info, I'm not inclined to want to know more/become a member, because the jobs might very well be no good to me al all.
Kind regards,

Hennie

I absolutely agree with the contents of this article. Translator is supposed to pay for membership but the way jobs are presented at the site is not giving even a hint whether such member can get at least the paid fee back into his pocket. The job can be both 300 words or 30 000 words but you cannot see it... so what is the point???
