05.2007 – present Freelance translator and simultaneous/conference interpreter, Canada
Interpreting for courts, conferences, seminars, trainings, workshops and government VIP meetings. Translating from Russian into English and vice versa of conceptual, procedural, legal and technical documentation, written tutorials and sample documentation for clients. This included (to list just a few) the following recent assignments:
May 1, 2019 – PRESENT – International Testing Agency (ITA), Lausanne, Switzerland. Simultaneous interpretation and document translation of anti-doping programs for international sports federations, major sports events and other international anti-doping measures requiring support.
April 2019 – PRESENT – International Boxing Association (IBA). Simultaneous interpretation and document translation of collaboration programs between all IBA stakeholders, including the champions, the National and International Federations, Organizing Committees for the Olympic Games, the Worldwide Partners and broadcast partners. Collaborated with public and private authorities including the United Nations and other international organizations.
September 2012 – PRESENT – Inuit Circumpolar Council (ICC). Provided simultaneous and consecutive interpretation for Executive Council meetings, General Assemblies, webinars, seminars, and training sessions, facilitated communication during Board of Directors (BOD) meetings, ensuring accurate and clear translation of discussions and decisions, delivered in-person interpretation services in northern towns such as Nain (Labrador) and Iqaluit (Nunavut). Translated official documents, reports, and correspondence between Russian and English, maintaining the context and meaning, prepared translation of training materials, seminar content, and webinar presentations for use in bilingual settings. Some examples include:
• 2020-2025 – bi-annual BoDs and EC/SC meetings, as well as Mental health, Suicide prevention, Infrastructure development, spiritual well-being, cultural exchange events and meetings via Zoom for the participants from Alaska (USA), Greenland, Chukotka (RF), Canada and Saami Council (Scandinavia).
• April 3-7, 2019 - Simultaneous interpretation. Inuit Circumpolar Council Steering Committee Meeting, Iqaluit, Nunavut, Canada.
• October 21-26, 2018 – Simultaneous interpretation. Inuit Circumpolar Council, Executive Committee Meeting, Nain, Newfoundland-Labrador, Canada.
• August 16-20, 2018 – Simultaneous interpretation. Inuit Circumpolar Council - Youth Linguistic Empowerment and Advocacy workshop (continued), Ottawa, Canada.
• May 21-25, 2018 – Simultaneous Interpretation for Inuit Circumpolar Council Steering Committee Meeting.
• September 18-September 22, 2017 – Simultaneous Interpretation for Inuit Circumpolar Council Steering Committee Meeting. This was accompanied by translation of over 25 large documents, publications, studies, executive reports and presentations for ICC ECM (totaling over 12000 words).
